Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the heart of the Medina, Riad Dar Marhaba is a charming escape just a stone's throw from the bustling Jemaa El Fna square. The enchanting courtyard, adorned with orange trees and peaceful seating areas, offers a tranquil oasis amidst the vibrant chaos that infuses Marrakech. My group of travel writers and I reveled in the delightful Moroccan breakfasts prepared by Sanaa, whose culinary talent shone through every dish made from fresh market ingredients. The air-conditioned rooms, elegantly decorated in traditional style, provided the perfect retreat after our adventures exploring the nearby historic sights, including the Saadian Tombs and Bahia Palace. On a practical note, the Riad's airport shuttle service helped ease our transitions, although I recommend confirming your arrival details ahead of time. The terrace offered stunning city views, where we spent evenings unwinding and reflecting on our day's discoveries. While I would encourage fellow travellers to embrace the unique atmosphere surrounding the Riad, I suggest keeping an eye on the timing when exploring the alleys of the Medina after dark. it unlocked the heart of Marrakech for us, combining comfort, hospitality, and the excitement that comes with immersing oneself in a culture rich in flavors and colors.
